General Instructions
The general procedure for installing this utility on a PC, which
may or may not have access to the worldwide web, is as follows:
- Download a self-extracting executable file to the hard drive of this PC.
- Create an installation disk by expanding the executable file to a 31/2" diskette.
- Use the installation disk to install the utility on this or any other PC.
1) Download Self-Extracting Executable File
- Create a directory (folder) on your hard drive named "UPGRADE".
- RIGHT mouse click HERE.
- Click on "Save Target As"
- Locate and select "UPGRADE" directory in "Save In" box.
- Click on "SAVE".
- Place the diskette in the floppy drive.
- From your "Windows" desktop, choose "START" and then "RUN".
- Select or type the hard drive root directory (typically "C:\") in the "OPEN" box, and click "OK".

Locate and open the "UPGRADE" directory (folder).
- Locate and double click on the "PATCON.EXE" file, which will open an "Extract To" pop-up window.
- Click on "EXTRACT", which will complete the creation of the installation disk.
- Insert the diskette into the floppy drive of the computer that is to receive the software.
- From your "Windows" desktop, choose "START" and then "RUN".
- Select or type "a:\setup" in the "OPEN" box.
- Follow the instructions on the setup screens to complete the installation of the software.
